Today, Andron Facilities Management has donated £10,000 to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) to support those affected by the recent earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria and the ongoing Ukraine crisis. This is Andron’s second donation to the DEC since 2022.
It has been almost ten weeks since two huge earthquakes hit Türkiye and northern Syria, with many of the 18 million affected needing healthcare, shelter, heating in safe spaces, blankets, warm clothes, and food and clean water. Similarly, for the six million people displaced in Ukraine, access to vital resources, cash assistance and psychological support is still critical.
Both crises are far from over. And it will take years to recover, rebuild and repair. Buildings, infrastructure, and transport links will all need rebuilding, and people will continue to need assistance as they rebuild their homes and livelihoods. But, thanks to funds raised, DEC charities can continue to reach more people with life-saving humanitarian assistance in the months and years to come. Andron’s contribution to the Disaster Emergency Committee is a small but meaningful step towards achieving this goal.
